Redoubt and preserved trench section in Vimy, France
In 2016 I visited the preserved trenches and Canadian war memorial in Vimy, France, and took some time out to scan sections of the trenches.
Warmachine Galleon Collosal Scan
A 3D scan of a Mercenaries Galleon Collosal model from the Warmachine tabletop wargame, made by Privateer Press. Model belongs to Mat Armstrong and photos were taken in Dice Saloon in Brighton, UK.
Photos were taken using a turntable, surrounded by a lighting rig with diffusers and a bluescreen. I set up a batch process in Photoshop to automate mask generation using the EZGreenscreen plugin.
Photos were processed in Agisoft Photoscan.
Example of the type of photo used to create the scan. There were also closeups of some areas taken:
Lighting and camera setup
This is a small statuette of Cthulhu from H.P. Lovecraft's horror novels. Scanned indoors with natural light.
Preston Park Monument
This was a quick scan carried out in overcast lighting at mid day in Preston Park, Brighton.
